What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website, or a third party embedded on that website, stores in your browser. Each cookie contains a small piece of information such as a session identifier, a preference, or an advertising identifier. Similar technologies — Local Storage, session storage, and pixel tags — are included in this policy because they serve the same purpose.

Why Sudoku365 Uses Them

The site uses cookies and similar technologies in four categories. Some are set by Sudoku365 directly (first-party); others are set by third parties integrated into the site (third-party).

1. Strictly necessary

Basic browser storage used to keep the site functioning — for example, saving your current puzzle state and your theme choice so you can continue where you left off. This data stays on your device; it is not transmitted to our servers. These technologies cannot be switched off through the site because the site would not work without them, but you can clear them at any time through your browser's settings.

2. Analytics

Sudoku365 uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and which countries they come from. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga, _gid, and related identifiers. Data is processed by Google; see the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3. Advertising

Sudoku365 uses or intends to use Google AdSense, which may set advertising cookies (such as those prefixed with IDE, __gads, or __gpi) and work with other third-party vendors. These cookies are used to:

Where required (for example, for visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), Google's consent mechanism asks for your preferences before non-essential advertising cookies are set. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

4. Preferences

A small amount of Local Storage is used to remember preferences set while using the site — for example, your chosen theme and game mode. This is first-party storage and is not shared with any third party.

The exact cookie names and durations used by Google may change over time. Google publishes its current list in the Types of cookies used by Google page.

How to Control Cookies

Browser settings

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies from the settings menu. Most also offer a "private" or "incognito" browsing mode that clears cookies automatically when the window closes. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using Sudoku365, but analytics will no longer see your visit and some advertising-supported features may not work as intended.

Opt out of personalised advertising

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry standard for how a site should respond to this signal, and Google Analytics / AdSense do not honour it directly. The tools above are the most reliable way to opt out.

Changes to This Policy

This cookie policy is updated when the site's cookie usage changes or when the underlying third-party tools change their practices. The "Last reviewed on" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
